Sean graduated from Otago University with First Class Honors, and has worked in Auckland ever since. During his undergraduate degree he picked up several prizes for top in Anatomy, Physiology, Clinical Science, topping the class overall.
After working in various parts of Auckland, he has spent the last 4 years on the North Shore, working in private practice and with premier club rugby.
Prior to 2020 he wrapped up a postgraduate qualification in musculoskeletal and manipulative physiotherapy, followed quickly after by an internship at High Performance Sport New Zealand.
Sean had been trained in safe and effective spinal manipulation for management of neck and back pain and enjoys treating chronic long term spinal pain. Alongside his rugby experience he’s familiar and experienced across pole vaulting, rowing, sailing, swimming, running/triathlon, hockey and football
He is equally at home with elite and weekend warrior athletes and is at his happiest his when his patients finish a rehab program in better shape than before their injury. Sean is a strong advocate for strength and conditioning across every range of ages and ability levels and will be able to take full advantage of our purpose-built rehab gym.
Sean has grown up around the water and tries to get out kiteboarding as often as possible. He loves learning about new sports and new perspectives on health and fitness, and always tries to incorporate these ideas into his own training. Otherwise, he is a token millennial; plenty of flat whites, good food and trips around his neck of the woods in the Auckland CBD.
