Sean is a skilled physiotherapist, with an ability to take tools developed for elite athletes and apply them through high-level care for all.
Graduating from Otago University with First Class Honours, Sean is a highly skilled physiotherapist who has also completed postgraduate qualification in musculoskeletal and manipulative physiotherapy.
Prior to progressing his career in private practice, he refined his craft with an internship at High Performance Sport New Zealand, which gave him foundations in the care required for elite-level athletes.
He has applied that knowledge on the sidelines of a range of premier-level club sports teams, and ensures that a high standard of care is accessible to all patients who visit him in the clinic. He is a strong advocate for strength and conditioning across every age and ability level, working closely with patients through hands-on application in our on-site gym.
Sean is particularly interested in helping patients overcome long-term neck and back pain, and is trained in safe and effective spinal manipulation. He knows the importance of holistic guidance, and of ensuring his patients feel their goals or challenges are heard, valid, and important.
His patients appreciate his ability to listen, translate complex issues and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to support their rehabilitation journey.
Sean is embedded in the sporting community, and stays closely connected to new fitness and wellbeing perspectives that may add value to the support he can provide his patients.
He appreciates that all patients have activities they want to get back to doing, and is passionate about supporting them in returning to full, functional movement – whether that’s on the sports field, at work, or simply being active.
