Background:
Gordon completed a four year podiatry qualification in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduating in 1994 with the “Roche - Academic Achievement Award for Podiatry”, awarded to the top student in the final year.
He began his career in the UK, working with the NHS for two years in hospitals and community clinics across London, as well as private consulting work.
Since moving to Auckland in 1997, Gordon has provided podiatry services on the North Shore, opening his first clinic at the Northcross Accident & Medical Clinic in 1999. In 2003 Gordon opened a second clinic at the Millennium Institute of Sport & Health.
Gordon has a keen interest in sports and is regularly involved in education and assistance at sports events and training sessions. His expertise in sports and rehabilitative podiatry care sees Gordon providing podiatry services to the LTAD (long term athletic development) programme at the Millennium Institute, as well as assessment and treatment services for the NZ Navy.
With a commitment to a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach to well being, Gordon works closely with a wide range of professionals including coaches, sports doctors, physiotherapists and orthopaedic specialists. He is committed to on-going research and training and enjoys keeping up-to-date with the latest professional developments in the podiatry world.
Gordon is a member of Sports Medicine NZ, is ACC registered and an active member of Podiatry NZ.
