Background:

Anousith was born in Laos and lived in Thailand until the age of 6, after which his family then immigrated to Auckland New Zealand.

He has many nicknames, but will generally answer to “Nous” or “Bruce”. Anousith did his schooling and studies in Auckland, gaining his Physiotherapy qualifications at AUT.

Anousith is the Physiotherapist for the New Zealand Breakers basketball team, and the New Zealand Black Sticks men’s hockey team.

Anousith has also worked for many years in elite soccer with the Auckland City Football Club. He has travelled extensively with these respective teams, and has acquired a range of valuable experiences and knowledge from working in this elite sporting environment.

Anousith works with a holistic view to managing the individual athlete, using a combined approach with other health professionals such as doctors, specialists, nutritionists, strength/conditioning coaches, podiatrists, massage therapists, and sports scientists. This has allowed him to bring this combined knowledge into his clinical practice and help rehabilitate those from all walks of life, and all ages, as well as the elite athlete.

Anousith will be pursuing additional studies in health related areas to further his professional development and continue to build on being a well rounded health practitioner.

Away from work, Anousith is keen on outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, camping, water sports, skiing and rock climbing. He enjoys travelling and is a bit of an intrepid journeyman with interests in weird and wonderful places around the world.
